Jesus stirred up thoughts within them and asked what they’d do if any of them were a shepherd and found out one of their sheep gone astray? Just concluded that the right thing to do is to leave the rest and look for the one that was lost. To further illustrate the point, Jesus told the parable of the lost coin. Jesus said, every time a sinner comes to repentance, there is great joy in heaven. To bring his point home, the miraculous journey to redemption that Jesus shows us in the story of the Lost Son. The son knew he did not deserve forgiveness for how badly he had been, but the love of the father was more than enough to wipe his record and give him a new beginning! Jesus wants to give you a clean slate and like the prodigal son, he wants you to come to a realization that there needs to be a change, then he’d receive you with his warm embrace.
